SURVEY: What happened to the Ciencia 2007&2008 researchers?

The Ciencia 2007 & 2008 initiative was a major contributor to the recruitment of young doctoral researchers to perform their work in national institutions, with particular attention to the Universities. Despite its importance, little is know about the real impact of this initiative in the Portuguese Scientific landscape  as well as what happened to those 1000 plus researchers. ANICT has prepared a very short survey regarding the professional status of the researchers hired under the 2007 and 2008 Ciência Programme.Our goal is to understand how many of us got permanent positions, how many got IF positions, and how many decided to leave the country.

If you had or still have an Ciencia contract, please participate in this short survey. ANICT will appreciate if you forward the survey to other former Ciencia colleagues. This will allow us to evaluate the success of the Ciência Programme, and our conclusions will be presented at the next ANICT 2015 conference.
