ANICT 2011

The second national ANICT Symposium (ANICT 2011) took place on Saturday the 10th of September at Fundação Engenheiro António de Almeida, in Porto.

ANICT Symposium 2011 is coming close

The second National Symposium of ANICT will take place next Saturday the 10th at Fundação Engenheiro António de Almeida, in Porto. The morning session is devoted to the topic of International Research Careers, and features lectures by several internationally renowned speakers: Octavi Quintana-Trias from the European Commission, David Sweeney from the UK’s Higher Education Funding Council, and Gerald Pier from Harvard Medical School. At the end of this session, there will be an official ceremony to mark the endorsement by ANICT of the European Charter for Researchers and Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers.

The afternoon session will focus on the Evaluation of Research, featuring another panel of distinguished speakers: Tiago Santos Pereira from University of Coimbra, José Ferreira Gomes from University of Porto, João Sentieiro from FCT, and Maria Leonor Parreira, current Secretary of State for Science. There will be ample time for discussion with the audience.
