Meeting with Professor Mariano Gago, Minister of Science, Tecnology and Higher Education

On the 28th of July 2009, members of the Installation Committee of ANICT met with Professor Mariano Gago, Minister of Science, Tecnology and Higher Education, to discuss some of the pressing issues regarding the integration of new researchers and the future of the research career. This meeting was also attended by the president of Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia, Prof. João Sentieiro.

Parliamentary Hearing with the Comission for Education and Science

On the 8th of July 2009, some of the founding members of ANICT attended a Parliamentary hearing with the Comission for Education and Science. In this meeting, the results of the 1st National survey, carried out in April, were presented, and some of the major concerns regarding the integration of new researchers and the future of the research career were discussed.
