First National Meeting of Investigadores Auxiliares with the participation of Members of Parliament

On the 25th of May 2009, Minho University hosted the 1st National Meeting of Investigadores Auxiliares, organized by Nuno Cerca, Nuno Otero, António Salgado, Alexandra Marques and Natascha van Hattum. This public meeting had the main objective of discussing major concerns regarding the integration of Investigadores Auxiliares in their host institutions and the proper development of quality scientific work. The debate was broadcast over the internet, and nearly 100 researchers from Lisbon, Coimbra, Aveiro, Porto, Braga and Guimarães actively participated in the debate. The meeting also had the participation of Members of Parliament from the Commission for Education and Science.
